Graanmarkt 13

Graanmarkt 13 is more than an interior design shop: it is an aesthetic Valhalla in the shape of a stately mansion where each floor tells a different story. The restaurant, the shop and the flat are above all an oasis of peace and inspiration in the middle of the city.

Founders and creative duo Ilse Cornelissens and Tim Van Geloven personally select the furniture and interior objects that can be found there. Some items come from personal meetings or collaborations with designers, others just find their way to the shop. Don’t expect any trends at Graanmarkt 13, but do expect objects for life from established fashion, interior and beauty brands and their emerging counterparts. The concept store houses labels such as KASSL Editions, Santa Maria Novella, Michaël Verheyden, Lobmeyr, The Home Project, Indigena, Atelier Pierre Culot and more.

Architect Vincent Van Duysen sculpted the beautiful open spaces with a strong linear but warm hand. Renowned art director Bob Verhelst lifted the concept of Graanmarkt 13 to another level with his extraordinary scenography.

FEST: colourful interior design shop with Scandinavian roots

Femke Furnée founded FEST in 2013 out of a personal need for original and affordable design. What followed was an interior store where high-end design can be found combined with the best possible service but without the high price tag. With its distinctive style, FEST meant a breath of fresh air of innovation within the traditional furniture industry.

In 2022 FEST also settled in Antwerp and a year later the brand opened an interior design store in Ghent. Pepijn Smit of S-P-A-C-E projects designed the flagship store with its characterizing organic shapes and striking blue, pink, orange and green colors. The FEST collection can best be described as modern and playful and consists of furniture pieces and accessories designed by the in-house design team, supplemented by guest designers from home and abroad. The furniture collection is entirely produced in Europe and a large part even in the Netherlands.

The interior store in Ghent is over five hundred square meters and even includes a mini cinema where customers can try out the iconic FEST sofa in red velour.

Espoo: interior design store with Scandinavian roots

Espoo was founded by Dries Brys in 2009 and was one of the first addresses for Scandinavian design in Belgium. When Dries discovered the ‘new nordic’ brands such as HAY, Muuto and ferm Living during a trip to Scandinavia, the idea for Espoo grew. After about eight years on the Vlaamse Kaai, Espoo moved about five years ago to a spacious new location on the Kloosterstraat.

The showroom of about four hundred square meters houses a carefully selected collection of minimalist furniture pieces and trendy accessories. Pure, natural materials and fine details are always central. The roots of the store remain Scandinavian but labels from all over the world such as Anonima Castelli, Karimoku and Kriptonite found their way to the interior store.

Address: Kloosterstraat 75/77, Antwerp
Opening hours: Tuesday from 13h till 18h, Wednesday till Friday from 10h30 till 18h, Saturday from 10h till 18h and Sunday from 13h till 18h
