The Rationalist is renowned for having built the Casa del Fascio in Como (1936), the former local headquarters of the Fascist party.<\/p>\n<p>In contrast to this strict historical building, where concrete, steel and glass predominate on the facade, Il Sereno uses natural and precious materials both inside and out: wood, stone and leather or bronze, according to the layout defined by architect and designer Patricia Urquiola. Touches of deep browns, vibrant greens and pearl greys are mixed in for the pleasure of the eye.
